Amazon.com Product Description Help teach your child to tell time with the Timex Time Teacher watch (model 7B121), which features labeled and color-differentiated hour and minute hands and a color differentiated dial with "to" and "past" markings. This quartz analog watch features a small dinosaur that rotates around the dial with the hands and a comfortable elastic fabric strap (for better dirt and stain resistance) with more dinos against a blue base. This watch also offers water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet), durable green resin case, and Timex's unique Kids Loss Protection Plan. It's recommended for children ages 6 and older. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of $10 for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked. Details are included in the printed instructions that come with the watch.

Cute but expensive for a Disposable watch - 6-month lifespan!! November 6, 2008 Lilipi (The Literary Swamp, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased this watch from Amazon for our first grader last Christmas. By May, it had quit working, so we took it to Target to get a new battery where they told us it was broken, unrepairable. But for $7 or so we could mail it to Timex and they would see if they could repair or replace it.
Instead of going through the hassle, I purchased the same watch in the Sports variety, and now 5 months later, it too has stopped working.
We're disappointed in the lifespan of these watches. Otherwise, they are great learning time pieces. I would not recommend one of these because they are virtually disposable. Plus the stretchable bands fade quickly (and we always took it off before bath time, just to be safe).
Just a toy September 20, 2008 Rosemary Bottcher (Monticello, Florida USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The minute-marking numbers are so small as to be nearly unreadable. Does not keep accurate time, so what's the point anyhow? My grandson loves to wear it, but it is useless as a watch. May as well buy a toy one for a lot less.
perfect to teach about time January 12, 2008 elemental Arts (oakland, ca usa) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
the dinosaur watch is a excellent method to help your young child to tell time. i would suggest that they be at least 3 1/2 years old because the band is too big for anyone younger. the watch also should not go to a child that stills throws all their toys hard or is very rough with her or his toys, the watch would not hold up to rough treatment.
Takes a beating and keeps on ticking! January 7, 2008 G C casey (formerly Lung tan,, Taoyuan Taiwan now Beverly Hills, Fl) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Both our grandkids loved they're watches. They sure are durable because one of them went thru the washing machine 2 weeks ago and is still working perfectly. That's what I call durable. Great watch for teaching how to tell time.
Timex Kids Dinosaur Watch January 1, 2008 Jennifer Donnellan (Cincinnati, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Even though my son is young for a watch (2 1/2) he still wanted a watch like his daddy's. We went with this version thinking it would be durable and something he wouldn't outgrow for a while. The elastic type band is fantastic and the rotating dinosaur will eventually help him tell time within a few years (or at least be able to recognize some numbers. Overall it was a very good buy.
